Double D's

So, a lot of people have been asking me why I haven’t been updating my blog here lately and harassing me to get it done. So, after really thinking about it, I’ve decided that it’s because I am an “inspiration-based” writer, meaning that when I don’t feel inspired, I don’t have much to write. Therefore, since you are all intelligent people, I am sure you can deduce from my lack of updates, I have been feeling uninspired for a while now.

That being said, I can now launch into what I’ve learned in this season of feeling uninspired. 

There are going to be days (and a lot of them, I might add) that we don’t feel inspired, we don’t feel excited, and frankly we just don’t feel like doing what we know we need to do to reach our goals. These can be some of the toughest times to get through on our journey to wherever we’re headed, because these are the times when it is easiest to get side-tracked, bored, or just give up completely.

If you find yourself in that place right now; I have some insight for you that may just be the ticket to getting you through.

“Every girl wants double D’s.”

Say whaaa? I know, I know. Just stick with me.

But since we all can’t have secrets as big as Victoria, we can at least we can put into practice these 2 words which we will call the double D’s for ease of remembering them. Because the good Lord knows we could all use a little help remembering things… or maybe that’s just me.

DISCIPLINE: “Training expected to produce a specific character or pattern of behavior; especially training that produces moral or mental improvement.”

DEDICATION: “The act of being wholly committed or devoted to a particular course of thought or action.”

So, if you do happen to find yourself feeling a little down because your journey is long and hard, just remember this is a time of training. You are training to produce the specific goal you have in mind, but you will never get there if you are not WHOLLY committed to your plan.
